Rock icon Lita Ford will perform on June 24 at Kewadin Casino St. Ignace; Jack Russell’s Great White will replace April Wine
ST. IGNACE, Mich. – Performer Lita Ford and hard rock band Jack Russell’s Great White will kick off the 2017 Summer Series at Kewadin Casino St. Ignace on Saturday, June 24. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.kewadin.com, the Kewadin Box Office or the Kewadin St. Ignace gift shop for $18 or $28.
April Wine, which had been scheduled to perform, had to cancel a number of shows after lead singer Myles Goodwyn became ill. The Canadian band has released 15 solo albums over 40 years and has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. April Wine expressed regret that they won’t be able to perform June 24.
“We are truly disappointed at not being able to perform in the Upper Peninsula for so many of our fans,” said Goodwyn. “It is our sincere hope at some point we can reschedule the show date to bring our brand of rock to our loyal fans.”
Lita Ford will perform songs from her entire catalog, including material from her latest solo release Living Like a Runaway. This British-born rocker grew up in Los Angeles before breaking into the music industry thanks to her role as a founding member of The Runaways. Ford began her career as a solo artist following the breakup of The Runaways in 1980. Ford has produced six solo albums.
Jack Russell’s Great White also will perform. The former lead singer for Great White, Jack Russell, now performs with his new band, captivating audiences with a string of pop, hard rock and heavy metal songs that will be instantly recognizable. Fans will hear their best hits including “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”, “Rock Me”, and “Save Your Love”. Jack also released his new album He Saw It Comin’ in January 2017, his first new release in 8 years.
